Apoorv Balwani

Principal Scientist

Apoorv Balwani holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Clemson University, specializing in the field of energy storage technologies and structure-property relationships in glassy polymer/nanocomposite membranes. Prior to that, Apoorv completed an Integrated Masters in Polymer Science & Technology from IIT Roorkee and worked for three years as a research engineer for a thermal energy storage startup. During his tenure there, he played a key role in the successful patenting and launch of a neonatal medicare device and acted as a liaison between the organization and the Indo-U.S. Joint Clean Energy Research & Development Centre, among other contributions. Apoorv’s research interests are focused on the intersection of chemical technology, energy storage, and environmental sustainability. He is passionate about developing novel smart materials and technologies to address the challenges posed by climate change.
