Arpit Sharma is the Chief Executive Officer of the Skill Council for Green Jobs (SCGJ), where he leads efforts to build a skilled workforce for India’s growing green economy. With over a decade of experience at SCGJ, he has been instrumental in shaping the organisation’s strategic direction and advancing skill development across renewable energy and allied sectors.

Before joining SCGJ, Arpit worked in the Tidal and Marine Energy (Small Hydro) business at the Kirloskar Group. Earlier in his career, he held roles at leading financial institutions including HSBC Bank, Deutsche Bank, and the Development Bank of Singapore (DBS), gaining deep expertise in finance, strategy, and operations.

Arpit has been pivotal in building international collaborations for SCGJ. He facilitated strategic MoUs with organisations such as the World Bank (We Power) in Thailand to strengthen women’s participation in the renewable energy workforce, and the German Solar Association (BSW Solar) to promote international mobility for Indian solar technicians. His engagement at the 2023 Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue further enhanced SCGJ’s global partnerships with leading German solar companies.

Most recently, under his leadership, SCGJ signed an MoU with the Australian Government under the India–Australia Renewable Energy Partnership to establish a world-class Rooftop Solar Academy in India.
